This past spring, Microsoft Edge released our new browser built upon the Chromium open source project. With it, we have started a journey to create better web compatibility for our customers, and a less fragmented web for all web developers.
The Edge Performance Teams is looking for a software engineer that can help improve browser users’ experience by finding performance issues from field telemetry data and provide actionable diagnostics data to address them. As a part of this team, you will design and build a system that can extract valuable performance insights from every available telemetry metric and signal in production. You'll explore all layers of the system from networking, operating system, platform and feature to find critical sources of inefficiency. You will work broadly across the organization and support multiple teams to help them achieve their objective to land critical features that delight our customers.

We are looking for creative and passionate developers to join our team. Projects include performance data analysis and investigation along with broad and targeted performance optimizations.
As part of the Microsoft Edge team, you can work onmaking the web better by developing the tools and web platform for modern application developers by:
Collaborate across functional and partner teams to define requirements
Implement performant, reliable, secure, scalable services
Prior expereince conducting performance analysis and/or data analysis is required
2+ years of experience with a scripting language such as Python, Ruby, or Perl is required
Proficient in at least one query language
Enthusiasm for driving quality using data
Strong problem solving, collaboration skills, communication skills, and self-driven
Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and industry trends
