Microsoft Corporation Principal Program Manager Lead in Redmond, Washington

The Azure Kubernetes Service is one of the fastest growing services in the history of Azure, with many of the world’s largest organizations running mission critical containerized applications on the platform. The AKS team is seeking an experienced technical product leader help us continuing growing the service. You will lead a team of program managers focused on AKS service fundamentals, including scale, stress, performance, reliability, and operational security, working withteams from across the company and with partners to build the world’s best managed Kubernetes service.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver quality metrics for AKS covering scale, stress, performance, reliability, and operational security

  • Develop a product strategy to drive improvements in core quality metrics

  • Work with key partners like Azure compute, networking, and storage to deliver a better AKS experience for customers

  • Represent AKS service quality in management reviews and customer conversations

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years in a technical product leadership role

  • 3+ years building and operating cloud services

  • BA/BS in Compute Science or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with large enterprise customers to design and build systems architectures

Preferred

  • Experience in a people management role

  • Experience with container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift is strongly preferred
