Visa Scrum Master Manager in Reading, United Kingdom

The Open Visa Net (OVN) team is building Visa’s next generation payments platform to replace the existing mainframe system that has been reliably processing payments for 35 years at up to 65 thousand transactions per second. As the leader of our scrum masters, you’ll coach, mentor and guide scrum masters to raise the maturity of the team and to determine the most efficient ways of working. You should be comfortable leading teams, coaching and developing people. You anticipate risks and negotiate trade-offs and are both technical and process focused. In this role, you will work with all areas of the organization to deliver against our agile strategy while simultaneously working with the scru masters to deliver OVNs outcomes. You will also hire and manage a team of Scrum Masters. Build a team of high performing scrum masters that drive agile maturity across the teams * Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset across the organisation, keeping abreast of industry best practices * Engage with agile peers in other parts of Visa collaborating on processes, maturity models and career frameworks * You seamlessly switch between coach, mentor, teacher and facilitator depending on the situation and the audience * Understand each scrum teams agile maturity, and allocate scrum masters to best maximise maturity and increase predictability of outcomes * Proactively, assertively, and creatively remove obstacles that slows down or prevent the outcomes from being delivered * You build a good of understanding of how engineering, product and architecture works at Visa and use your experience and knowledge to continually improve ways of working * Be a servant leader and ensure the continuous development of scrum masters * Develop performance-centric talent who are collaborative, results-oriented, and culturally aligned with Visa's values * Design measurable tactical and strategic indicators of success that include data-driven inputs and outputs * You are a curious leader, who challenges the status quo, boldly and respectfully taking risks and advocating for changes that benefit the entire company. * You are a change agent who can influence people at all the levels including C-Level * You are a relationship builder committed to both internal and external partnerships * You have experience of creating and leading multi-disciplined and cross-geo agile teams * You are an engaging agile leader who supports people’s growth and development, while inspiring them to go beyond in their performance. * Demonstrated ability to lead, recruit, grow and retain high-calibre talent * Capable of forming and advocating independent viewpoint. Demonstrate strong skills of influencing, negotiating, and communicating. * Must have strong hands-on experience in various lean techniques and agile flavours such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS etc. in a product engineering environment * Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a global matrix management environment.
