Connexus Energy Human Resources Summer Intern in Ramsey, Minnesota
Overview:
Are you studying Human Resources and want to gain practical hands-on experience in a busy human resources department? Connexus Energy has the perfect summer internship for you! Our Human Resources Intern will assist with a wide range of projects including recruiting, performance management, HR records, safety, and more.
Based in Ramsey, Connexus Energy is Minnesota’s largest electric distribution cooperative, providing electricity, renewable energy alternatives and related services to 138,000+ residential and commercial members just north of the Twin Cities. Key Responsibilities & Results:
The Human Resources Intern will assist in a combination of areas which could include, but is not limited to, the following:
Recruiting and selection processes
Training processes, including identifying resources and vendors
Conducting database research and creating applicable reports
Updating our social media presence
Gathering market data for compensation and/or benefits
Assisting in implementation of an electronic document management system
Other professional and administrative functions as assigned
Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
Ability to work 30-40 hours per week during normal business hours
Current student enrolled in and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree, preferably in Human Resources or with a Human Resources emphasis
Good skill level with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Capability to quickly learn, understand and navigate new software systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented and self-motivated
Good problem solving abilities and can think creatively
Strong organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks and/or assignments simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Results oriented and adheres to deadlines
Ability to handle highly confidential information
Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
Prior experience working in an office setting
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
