Introduction:

The Executive Strategist, Financial Services will be seen as the lead Marketing Cloud expert focused on Financial Services (FINs) within SFDC. This leader will leverage their domain knowledge and experience to craft winning GTM strategies, help the Marketing Cloud AE team engage clients, craft impactful Executive marketing messages and programs and enable the sales teams to be more effective within the FINs industry. Additionally, they will access the extensive human capital and resources available within Salesforce and will provide horizontal leadership and collaboration of cross-functional teams to define and execute the FINs strategy. This Executive Strategist will engage directly with our strategic customers throughout the US, and will also work closely to help build Salesforce’s internal FINs industry expertise and feedback into product and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Salesforce POV for the Marketing Cloud for FINs industry

  • Craft strategies to drive market penetration, value and retention of Salesforce Marketing Cloud into FINs

  • Provide insight and thought leadership internally to SFDC Management (Ops and GMs),Field Operations (Digital Strategy, pre-sales, sales, account management), Support (marketing, training, PR, analyst relations), product marketing and engineering.

  • Establish strong executive relationships with Salesforce top tier clients through direct engagements, credibility and experience in FINs.

  • Identify opportunities and recommend approaches to scale industry influence and messaging (both internally and externally) and product market fit.

  • Enable and coach sales teams on identified use cases and messaging to up-level their customer conversations

Industry Marketing & Enablement Impact:

  • Partner with Marketing Cloud Product Marketing team to create and execute a strategy for FINs, including marketing and content plans aligned with Salesforce’s go-to-market strategy and revenue goals.

  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrate industry expertise and thought leadership at key industry events, conferences, forums, analyst and media briefings as well as at critical customer meetings.

  • Increase awareness of Salesforce’s leadership within FINs industries through thought leadership; white papers, blogs, speaking events, and executive roundtables.

  • Inform and develop strong alignment with Analyst Relations and Public Relations, and competitive intelligence positioning.

  • Help drive the industry agenda through the development and management of a portfolio of Industry Use Cases aligned with Salesforce’s portfolio of products to illustrate business challenges and show how the correct combination of Salesforce solutions can solve for them.

  • Provide insight and guidance internally to customer facing teams (Digital Strategy, pre-sales, sales, account management) to support teams (marketing, training, PR, analyst relations), management teams, and partners.

  • Create and deliver industry-specific enablement training and assets to maximize field capabilities.

  • Work with sales organization to develop robust account strategies by providing insights into challenges and guidance on approaches and messaging/positioning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Consultative experience focused on marketing strategies at the enterprise Financial Services level

  • Expertise in creating value for marketers in the Financial Services industry

  • Strong understanding of the types of challenges the Financial Services industry faces in the modern world of digital marketing

  • Bachelor’s degree or above is strongly preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience consulting on marketing strategies for Financial Services clients

  • Experience in creating executive level presentations that capture key findings and takeaways in a succinct, impactful manner

  • Strong understanding of the types of challenges the Financial industry faces in the modern world of digital marketing

  • Must have experience and comfort presenting to large industry groups
