TierPoint, LLC Business Development Representative in Raleigh, North Carolina

Our Business Development Representatives (BDRs) execute integrated, multichannel B2B prospecting strategies, pitching our award-winning Colocation and Hybrid IT & Cloud solutions to enterprise clients. This role offers an entry into technology sales with a lucrative base salary, uncapped performance-based monthly bonuses, and weekly sales incentives.

Successful TierPoint Business Development Representatives candidates are articulate rainmaker-type sales professionals. This position is a first step influencer for our sales process – ensuring future successes. Truth be told, this position requires a major portion of the workday to be spent prospecting, and communicating with enterprise businesses to investigate their cloud transformation needs. It is a role for undaunted personalities and competitive spirits. The days may long, but we have a great team and support system to help build your career. We laugh and joke, take breaks for fuse ball tournaments and are a family when it comes down to it.

Our BDRs join TierPoint with an identified career path to learn and grow into the lucrative technology platform sales with a very successful Sales team. Through every step of this career progression, you will be offered extensive training for your current role so you may mature into an inside sales, then eventually a direct sales position.   • Create and prioritize strategic account lists within a defined territory

  • Identify decision-makers, perform needs assessment to better understand a prospects pains/needs, value-proposition them by aligning solutions to meet prospects needs, and ultimately set up appointments for our direct sales team

  • Be the engine that drives pipeline, new logos and growth for TierPoint

  • Strong, demonstrable sales aptitude and an overall “hunter” mentality

  • Professional, ambitious, organized, determined, results & goal oriented

  • BA/BS or experience that demonstrates skill sets for this position

  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications

  • Some sales experience, even if on an internship basis; a track record working with C-suite personnel is preferred
