This role will have a primary industry alignment to our audit commercial practice.
Lead and manage more complex accounting engagements within budget (includes developing a project/audit budget) and deadline expectations
Identify, respond to, and resolve client issues working directly with client, or in collaboration with other accountants
Manage expectations effectively through clear and continuous communication with the client and/or other accountants
Communicate advice and answer questions of other Wipfli associates relating to clients' audit and accounting situations
Continue advancement in technical audit and accounting capabilities as well as advancement in “soft skill” competencies; will work in collaboration with Wipfli tax and consulting associates
Proactively seek out new business opportunities by participating in various business development activities, and having a comprehensive understanding of services provided by the firm
Ensure high quality of delivery and client satisfaction
Provide training, direction, supervision and mentoring (informally, and formally as a performance coach) to other firm associates, as applicable
May serve as performance coach for 1-5 associates
Participate in and provide leadership for firm initiatives and projects
Perform an d support client billing and collections
Actively participate in community/ firm activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members
Active leadership in community organizations
Assist in the development of internal procedures, forms, policies, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA certification required in the respective state in which they are practicing
Requires 8- 10 years of job related experience
Management and/or mentoring experience with other staff members
Experience making recommendations to management
Prior public accounting experience desired
