Customer Requirements Engineer (VED)
The Systems Engineer in this position will work in a multi-disciplinary team involved in the design and development of electronic braking systems (EBS). This will include a variety of activities, which are integral toward ensuring our safety-critical EBS systems are developed according to state-of-the-art requirements and methodologies. This position includes, but is not limited to, requirements coordination and tracking; product verification and validation; requirements and test traceability analysis/documentation; and product quality gate review preparation.
Work with multi-disciplinary teams and communicate and coordinate with worldwide counterparts.
Act as a customer interface for requirements.
Import/export of customer requirements documents.
Coordinate scheduling of requirements analysis activities with the global team to meet project milestones.
Provide requirements status to internal organization and/or customer.
Maintain database for tracking and traceability of internal and customer requirements.
Communicate and coordinate with peers to determine validation requirements.
Analyze, plan, and monitor test related activities.
Report on test coverage and gaps.
Resolve testing problems and gaps by conferring with affected departments.
Generate traceability matrices to ensure requirements have full test coverage.
Investigate problems and formulate corresponding solutions.
Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree in related technical discipline
Knowledge of requirements engineering, verification and validation testing
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
Good organizational skills
Strong interest to work in the automotive industry
Some travel is required for training and to support customer meetings
Intermediate user of MS Excel and other Office software
Master of Engineering or equivalent degree in related technical discipline
Knowledge/experience working with ISO 26262
Experience working in the automotive industry
Experience with DVP&R activities
Experience with vehicle dynamics development
Expert user of Excel and other MS Office Software
Ability to achieve positive goal for project or organization even with complex or ambiguous direction
