Top Notch Personnel Sanitation Worker in Pueblo, Colorado

The position is responsible for maintaining working areas in warehouse,coolers, shipping dock and production areas in a clean and orderlycondition. Clean and sanitize processing room and equipment after productionactivities according to established Standard Operating Procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep staging area and warehouse floors clean. Keep back dock, front entrance and patio grounds clean and sanitary,when weather permits. Perform duties based on master cleaning schedule. Cleans warehouse areasincluding packing room, dry storage, coolers, docks and outside areasusing various cleaning tools (i.e. broom, mop, brush, dustpan,cleaning chemicals, dust cloths). Sweep and keep production floors clear of organic product waste,paper, plastic, wood and other trash. Removes trash buckets to disposal area and return empty buckets for lineuse. Remove boxed waste product from production area and dispose in dumpsteror disposal as directed. Dry cleanup for equipment and floors prior to wet cleaning. Removeproduct as needed from machines and conveyors before wet cleaning. Obtain chemicals and detergents as needed and mix to requiredconcentrations for cleaning. Follow all required handling practices,including PPE use. Document sanitize strengths for every use on the ProductionArea Cleaning Log and give to Plant Manager at the end of the month. Clean equipment and floors according to Sanitation Standard OperatingProcedures. Performs other duties as assigned or required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment background check anddrug screen.WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 6:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Mustbe flexible - hours subject to change as needed to meet the needs of thecompanPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in food processing or manufacturing plant. Previous work experience cleaning and sanitizing processing room andequipment after production activities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN POSITION: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromgroups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to apply mathematical, statistical and scientific principlesused in food industry. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such asdiscounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,oral, diagram, or schedule form. Equipment maintenance, electrical knowledge, general plant maintenance.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative ofthose that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds andoccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
