SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:
Minimum 3-5+ years’ prior experience in affordable housing site management.
Prior demonstrated Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, HUD-Sect.8, Fair Housing compliance experience required.
Yardi Voyager experience preferred or experience on other housing industry compliance software program(s).
Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred or equivalent related property management experience; High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
Certifications Preferred: COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) and LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit); or willing to obtain promptly.
Minimum 1+ years prior team supervision experience including training, coaching and performance management.

A Senior Community Manager is responsible for leading and managing the site team at our beautiful apartment communities, Conifer Village at Oakcrest (120 total units) in District Heights, MD and Brinkley Hill (64 total units) in Temple Hills, MD.
You will ensure work orders are completed on time, apartment turnover is effectively and efficiently handled for new residents, and leasing is meeting expected occupancy goals, while managing employee training and performance management matters throughout the day. These responsibilities provide the apartment community with operations that are safe and secure for the on-site residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees. You will report directly to the District Manager and work collaboratively with the site team, Regional Vice President as well as key partners in Compliance, Property Management, Property Finance, Human Resources and outside housing authority representatives to ensure all required aspects of operating a stable, fiscal operation are covered and meeting all requirements.
OTHER EXPERIENCE & SKILLS MUST INCLUDE:
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
Demonstrated strong customer service skills to effectively collaborate and problem solve with residents, team members, contractors and regulatory representatives.
Strong organizational skills with effective decision-making abilities.
Prior experience with budgeting strongly preferred; good working knowledge of accounting/business with understanding of payables, receivables.
Strong MSOffice skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for effective written communications.
Reliable transportation - automobile with a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance policy required.
Flexibility for occasional travel to meetings, trainings, company conference, as scheduled.

Willingness to go the extra mile to resolve issues and complete tasks required, including any extended hours that might be needed.
