Payroll Specialist

Actively seeking a multi-state Payroll Analyst. This opportunity offers professional exposure to the healthcare industry and the ability to work in a well structure corporate payroll department, allowing professional development and growth.

responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintenance of weekly and bi-weekly payroll process documentation.

  • Administer time keeping records for all company employees.

  • Responsible for creating new earnings codes and managing the timekeeping system, personal time off (PTO) accruals.

  • Handle the set-up of new codes for State Unemployment Insurance (USI), and local codes

  • Process and distribute W-2 records.

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies.

  • Create payroll reports for management.

  • Working directly with payroll vendor to resolve any discrepancies or system issues.

  • Assist with auditing payroll reports on each payroll cycle to confirm proper wage, tax, and deductions.

  • Monitor the accurate processing of associate changes (transfers, promotions and terminations, etc.)

  • Ensure that payroll processes comply with internal and external rules, policies, laws and regulations

qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience processing "HIGH VOLUME" payroll

  • Custom to working in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel. (VLOOKUP, pivot table, SUMIF function, etc.)
