By hiring a cluster of collaborative faculty, we seek to aim our research infrastructure at the most pressing problems facing humanity over the next decades. &br&&br&Hires will be at the tenure track assistant professor level, and research pairs or teams are encouraged to apply. We seek highly collaborative and interdisciplinary scientists to establish strong extramurally funded research programs that build on existing strengths and collaborations within the college and university. We welcome applications from scientists with research programs that fit under the broad umbrella of this cluster and anticipate a hire within each of four departments within the collegeBiological Sciences, Chemistry, Geography and Geological Sciences, and Mathematics and Statistical Science. The College of Science places a high priority on increasing the diversity of faculty, and we are committed to hiring, supporting, and retaining a diverse team of researchers for this cluster hire.&br&&br&We seek a colleague with a research program that studies and addresses global change using chemical approaches. Examples of research programs include but are not limited to the development of green technologies and efficient catalysts, studying the chemical impact of climate change in the environment, or development of new drug strategies to address emerging diseases brought about by global change. Areas of interest may complement or contribute to existing strengths in medicinal, synthetic, energy storage, environmental, or electrochemistry.&br&&br& r r&b&Minimum Qualifications:&/b&&br& r Ph.D. in Chemistry, experience in a field chemistry that is compatible with Sustainability and Global Change such as environmental chemistry (analytical or physical), Organic chemistry with a biomedical focus, or Inorganic chemistry specializing in development of sustainable methods/materials. A strong commitment to research and teaching. &br&&br& r r&b&Preferred Qualifications:&/b&&br& r Postdoctoral experience preferred.
