Sensata Technologies, Inc. Buyer in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Build supplier relationship, reduce direct materials costs year over year, secure supplies continuity.

Responsibilities:

  • Run negotiation and close price-agreements with owned suppliers;

  • Establish and further develop supplier relationships for selected commodities;

  • Support assessment of the suppliers’ delivery performance according to the approved plan and methodology, deploy and manage Supplier Scorecard Monthly Reviews and related activities;

  • Review and negotiate payment terms with ST suppliers and engage negotiation initiatives for continuous improvement;

  • Negotiate and implement Logistics-/VMI arrangements with selected suppliers, to ensure quicker and better availability of materials;

  • Develop CR and PPV strategies for cost savings year over year;

  • Develop commodity-strategy in owned commodity in alignment with Strategic Sourcing;

  • Maintain MACO pricing data for certain material commodities and verify correctness of information;

  • Support timely supply of components as escalation-phase after MP;

  • Fulfill the obligations according to the Company quality and environment policy, meeting the long and short term targets of the company;

  • Attend and support customer or certification audits whenever needed;

  • Tooling health conditions monitoring;

  • Able to identify waste within manufacturing processes;

  • Creating negotiation calendars.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Procurement or Sourcing with industrial background;

  • Technical and/or Economic education;

  • Experience in the field international logistics, procurement, negotiation techniques;

  • Advance Business English level according to ST standards and specific terminology on international commerce;

  • Second foreign language is an advantage;

  • Good computer literacy-database and EXCEL;

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results;

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.
