Robert Half International Principal UX Architect in PLEASANTON, California


The Creative Group has an exciting new job opportunity for a Principal Architect at our grocery client that is looking to improve their customer experience across their 10+ brands!

This role is currently REMOTE, but the client is based in the EAST BAY. This is 40 hours per week and a long term freelance assignment.

Our client has seen an increase in demand for their Digital properties as more consumers are purchasing their groceries digitally with delivery 'on demand'. The rise in traffic has highlighted the need to streamline and smooth out many features and functions on the client's web experience.

As the Principal Architect you will work with the UX management and the business at large to design/define the product user experience that enables customers to easily navigate through the 10+ brands. The ideal candidate will develop a multi-year experience roadmap for customer-facing features and functionalities for the digital ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivery, working and influencing in a cross-functional context, and using data to drive decision making.

A deep understanding of customer research, knowledge gathering, ideation, prototyping, and design process and concept visualization/prototyping are baseline for this role. This position roles up to the Director of UX.

The Principal Architect must have at least 8 years of experience and can demonstrate and articulate their design process clearly and succinctly for internal and external stakeholders. Your goal will be to identify business opportunities, define requirements, gain support and buy in from the UX/Design Leadership team, and follow up with project implementation and continuous improvement of features and updates.

8-10 years of relevant experience

BS/BA Degree required, graduate studies a plus

Internet and retail experience strongly preferred

Strong analytical skills

Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate your design ideas to many stakeholders
