Sr. Learning Designer

The Financial Services Learning & Development organization is seeking a teammate to serve as a learning & development specialist. The talented individual who joins this team will work closely with business leaders and HR staff to consult, design, develop, deliver, manage and analyze learning experiences for associates. This teammate will be responsible for ensuring a best in class full-service experience, as well as building strong relationships with business partners and team members. Working with this group you will personally see Capital One’s dedication to the associate population and our passion for developing our people.

In this role, you will:

  • Consult with business clients and other learning partners to determine learning needs. This could include interviews with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and learners.

  • Design, develop, maintain, and in some cases, facilitate eLearning, blended, and instructor-led training deliverables. This could include new-hire training, upskilling, cross-training, soft skills/competency training, and leadership training.

  • Partner with other content developers to support material development needs.

  • Collaborate with internal partners across Capital One’s lines of business and within HR to create and implement learning strategies for the extended Enterprise.

  • Use data analysis and storytelling to evaluate and report on the impact of learning solutions on individual and organizational effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of experience in learning and development

  • At least 1 years of experience in Instructional Design

  • At least 2 years experience developing using Articulate 360 suite of products or Adobe Captivate

  • At least 1 year of experience of project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, or Instructional Design

  • 1 year of experience in consulting/coaching

  • 2 years of experience in project management

  • Experience working with contact centers

  • Experience managing people

  • Experience designing or facilitating leadership development and/or soft skill courses

  • Advanced Google Suite skills

  • Experience creating virtual learning using Adobe Connect, Zoom, or similar

  • Intermediate experience working with graphics tools including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or similar

  • Intermediate experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)

  • Experience in learning experience design or Agile learning development
