Chase MyHome Senior Product Manager | Vice President

Home Lending Transformation takes an end-to-end view of a customer’s journey from application to payoff to create a differentiated homeownership experience for Chase customers that no competitor can match. This role will work with the Product Owner to drive the implementation of the digital mortgage product to meet the needs of business sponsors and their organizations. This individual will translate priorities and business needs to set goals and realize product benefits, work within the agile process to ensure ongoing backlog management and prioritization, plan and coordinate business readiness, communication and rollout, and will monitor progress to completion. This role will continue throughout steady state to analyze and recommend further enhancements that can improve the mortgage process and its effectiveness for our customers and our business.

This role requires work across functional and development teams, direct reports and aligned resources, as well as third-party vendors to flawlessly execute the successful implementation and management of key initiatives in support of the broader Home Lending digital platform.

A candidate for this role can:

  • Develop a roadmap for future enhancements, line of business expansions

  • See the big picture while having a deep understanding of the owned feature to ensure successful prioritization of stories and determining the path to implementing features effectively

  • Attain/ develop a depth of domain knowledge in order to evaluate current/future state business (and product) objectives and ensure target state architecture alignment with business capability needs, serving as subject matter expert with respect to major business processes and supporting applications/capabilities.

  • Facilitate & drive customer focused solutions across the organization in direct support of the Product Owner; working with legal, risk, operations, design and technology teams to define, prioritize, deliver and align solutions to product vision and roadmap

  • Act with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong sense of accountability and ownership

  • Partner with Area Product Owners to progress the product roadmap; act as voice of the customer and drive product vision in forum when senior product owners are not present

  • Effectively manage, coach and develop team resources

  • Write epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and participate in all agile events of the product group as a team member.

  • Develop and refine implementation recommendations including ramp/ rollout plans, support, testing, business readiness, training, etc.

  • Take responsibility for E2E ownership of features from ideation through implementation and through maintenance and support

  • Plan and execute product/ feature set roadshows

  • Develop and manage communications with key stakeholders and multiple levels of management (e.g., Originations and Mortgage leadership, Transformation leadership, Consumer and Community Bank leadership, etc.)

  • Serve as subject matter expert with respect to major business processes and supporting applications/ capabilities.

  • Take responsibility for analytics, controls/audit in support of our contractual obligations

  • Complete reviews and ad-hoc requests and identifies opportunities to keep product compliant

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple diverse team members across JPMorgan Chase, and is able to work independently and in a team environment

  • Manage external vendor relationships

  • Develop and track progress business case benefits

  • Contribute to the strategic development, ongoing refinement & execution of the broader product roadmap

  • Recommend and track progress against decommission criteria for replaced system components

Role qualifications

  • Requires 5+ years of relevant experience as a Digital Product Manager, Program Owner, or other relevant experience with technology development and implementation.

  • Requires understanding of lending operations. Prior experience with mortgage operations, sales, risk, or underwriting and/or understanding of Chase Home Lending processes is desired.

  • Prefer advanced understanding of business and management functions in financial services

  • Desire minimum of 5 years management experience, including experience with implementation of project management processes and methodologies, including Agile, in a large and complex organization.

  • Product knowledge and understanding of Chase Mortgage Banking processes desired

  • Strong technical skills (modeling and reporting) and communication including building senior level management packages

  • Leads/coordinates aligned or directly-managed resources

  • Strong understanding of budgeting and finance

  • Ability to foster strong working relationships across functional areas to drive results

  • Ability to remain productive, positive, and solution seeking while facing organizational change
