The Manager Inside Sales (Government Solutions) is responsible for the successful management of a team of Government Inside Account Representatives (GIARs), through the implementation of sales strategies to attain both revenue and profit. The Sales Manager, Inside Sales mission is to deliver for FedEx Office a high return on investment and to firmly entrench FedEx Office as the document provider of choice in the small to mid-sized business segment by leading and developing the Inside Sales team. Note: Strong leadership skills required. Proven track record of selling complex government sales solutions, Salesforce and Excel experience, Inside/Call Center experience preferred
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and manage a team by training, developing and coaching team members on a consistent basis
Meet and exceed team sales plans and performance metrics
Develop and manage new and existing account strategies for all Inside Sales Representatives
Drive new account acquisition through outbound calling targeted to small to mid-size businesses
Implement the appropriate management tactics for account management in the assigned territories
Conduct regular coaching and performance counseling sessions to maintain efficient and productive morale of direct
Reinforce sales strategies by providing the Inside Sales Representatives with ongoing training, information sharing and support
Ensure the sales team leverages product information and tools to optimize results
Utilize FedEx Office’s call cycle and pricing strategy approach to manage all existing accounts
Validate customer leads that are generated through various means
Ensure accurate customer data is maintained regularly
Ensure the sales team is providing accurate, consistent and timely information to internal and external customers
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams both within the sales organization and across all functions
Act in concert with FedEx Office values and holds team members accountable
All other duties as needed or required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors’ degree in business or related field or equivalent experience required
Master’s degree preferred
5+ years outside sales experience, selling business to business products or services
3+ years of sales management experience
Must be able to demonstrate strong negotiation skills
Possess solid financial insight that provides an understanding of our business model
For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring

Ability to travel as required in order to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or other business necessities

Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
