Berkshire Health Systems Clinical Value Analysis Coord in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for advancement of Clinical Quality Value Analysis (CQVA) including clinical products review, standardization, evaluation and utilization. Provides leadership in clinical standardization issues to senior leadership and acts as a liaison to physicians, nursing and other clinical staff.

Coordinating supply expense management initiatives and targets utilizing the value analysis process. Supports the Director of Supply Chain. Co-chairs the Value Analysis Committee.

Works in collaboration with all Clinical Quality Value Analysis (CQVA) to achieve cost savings.

Monitors utilization and cost data to identify waste and opportunities for supply savings. Provide leadership and clinical strategic expertise to facilitate a structured approach that will include but not limited to data analysis, utilizing clinical evidence to achieve product standardization and utilization.

Actively educates all affected departments, physicians and medical management personnel regarding product changes related to clinical supply issues in a timely manner.

Works to promote compliance with Group Purchasing Organization wherever possible.

Actively facilitates process and practice changes to enhance efficiency and value.

  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

  • Experience:

  • 3-5 years professional experience in healthcare, preferably in Value Analysis, supply chain management, or product sales.

  • Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Clinical Administration, Nursing or related profession required.

  • Master's Degree in related field preferred.

  • Minimum of five years related healthcare experience that demonstrates excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills in order to convey goals and objectives for overall program execution.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Possesses experience with computers: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Powerpoint, spreadsheets, etc.

  • Maintains strong computer skills to support data collection and transforming data into actionable information, as demonstrated by skilled use of Meditech, Midas, and MS Excel to build spreadsheets, report writing and utilize graphic displays.

  • Works with confidential information with knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws required.

  • Demonstrates excellent presentation skills utilizing available formats (person-to person, bulletin boards, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Demonstrates and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Maintains excellent listening, interpersonal written, oral and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrates the ability to be logical and efficient with keen attention to details.
