This position is located in the Digital Marketing Organization at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The ideal employee would be located in Pittsburgh, PA or Carlsbad, CA.
How will you make an impact?
You will be responsible for developing the strategy and enabling capabilities to deliver personalized marketing along the Customer Buyer's Journey. You will be responsible for the 360 Customer profile used for marketing along with advanced segmentation tools to build and deploy audiences across marketing channels. You will increase marketing campaign effectiveness by identifying opportunities to use customer data and insights for personalization. You will ensure compliance of global data privacy laws for enterprise Digital Marketing Systems and govern data privacy across the Digital Marketing organization. As a successful Sr. Product Manager, you will utilize your business and technical skills to enable new capabilities to drive customer acquisition, retention and loyalty.
What will you do?
Strategic Leadership and Planning -- Leads project discovery, requirements definition, metrics analysis, and works with IT and business teams to facilitate development of new capabilities in the area of Marketing Personalization.
Develops the product and feature roadmap for customer data and advanced segmentation used for marketing personalization
Customer Data and Quality - Identifies, collects and on-boards 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party data. Enables data enrichment and data cleanse capabilities for customer data.
Unified Customer Profile - Responsible for the definition and enablement of the unified customer profile for Digital Marketing building a 360 view of the customer.
Customer Insights - Identifies opportunities to use data and algorithms for marketing campaigns across customer touchpoints. Works with data science team to develop new models for marketing personalization.
Advanced Segmentation - Manages and evaluates emerging technologies for building and activating audience clusters for personalized marketing across channels
Channel Activation - Deploys capabilities to deliver targeted marketing experiences across marketing channels along the Customer Buyers Journey
Data Privacy - Responsible for compliance of global data privacy laws for enterprise Digital Marketing systems and governance as the Digital Marketing organization
Measurement - Defines metrics and dashboards for measurement and tracking of data health. Performs business and financial analysis, monitoring and reporting. Builds business case to justify expenditures for new capabilities with demonstrated revenue and profitability gain.
Responsible for the enhancing, scaling, optimizing and adoption of product area capabilities across Thermo Fisher Scientific business divisions
Develops strategies and capabilities to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning for personalization insights
Researches competitor dynamics and capabilities, voice of the customer and customer wants/needs; subject matter expert in the area of customer data for Digital Marketing
Works with cross-functional teams to ensure on time and quality delivery of initiatives by balancing the business needs versus technical constraints, and escalating issues and risks to drive solutions as necessary
Performs marketing maturity evaluations across Thermo Fisher businesses and regions to assess data quality and readiness for utilization of data for marketing purposes
Interacts with Director/VP Leadership; manages by influence, engages with cross-functional teams; evangelist for transforming the way we work and continuous improvement
Coordinates among internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives with company goals
Performs other duties as assigned
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years related experience (Digital Marketing technology, Marketing software or Digital product management)
Experience with Marketing technologies including Multi-Channel Marketing Hubs, Data Management Platforms and Customer Data Platforms a plus
Experience developing strategy and achieving goals by translating strategy into projects and leading project execution
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thought leader in customer data management able to bridge the gap between IT and marketing
Demonstrated ability to successfully maximize technology investments
Experience with budgeting and business planning
Exceptional verbal/written communication skills; outstanding negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
Excellent project management skills including the ability to formulate and drive detailed plans and key performance indicators to report on the health of each project
Collaborate with cross-functional areas (IT, Business Marketing, Sales, eBusiness, Digital Marketing, Finance) and third-party vendors throughout project definition and execution.
Able to build relationships with key individuals necessary for collaboration
Develop and present communications, frequently to senior leadership, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level, for the right recipient
