Risk management ensures new business risks are reviewed and approved, while Compliance maintains processes compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and ethics.The Office of Regulatory Relations is responsible for developing and coordinating the company-wide strategy and approach to major regulatory supervisory matters. The function centrally manages BNY Mellon's relationships and interactions with supervisory regulators, partnering with all business and functions across the company.Role description and opportunities:In this newly created role, leads the ongoing development and implementation of best practices for regulatory interactions, driving enterprise alignment and continuous improvement across the company. Conducts unprecedented or complex analyses and reporting in support of BNY Mellon's regulatory strategy. Defines and develops analytical approaches to workset. Determines where measurement gaps exist and devises new metrics or reports to fill those gaps. Reviews operational data/metrics, analyzes and synthesizes the data, then compiles into reports or presentations. Navigates the entire firm in order to effectively complete tasks. Develops consultative partnerships with internal teams and leaders to influence practices and outcomes. Leads special projects/initiatives that are of strategic importance. Serves as a resource on complex or unprecedented issues.
