Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides professional nursing care to patients through the nursing process; responsible for the assigned educational components.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements staff training, educational programs, and other AHN initiatives. (25%)

  • Serves as clinical liaison for QI/EBP initiatives, regulatory preparation, and EMR facilitation. (25%)

  • Precepts new hires to the AHNCI. (25%)

  • Provides expert direct nursing care to complex patients. (10%)

  • Contributes to the achievements of departmental, divisional, and organizational goals. (5%)

  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills with collaborative feedback to clinical services.

  • (5%)

  • Other duties as assigned. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

  • Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License

  • CPR Certification

  • 3-5 years of assigned clinical specialty area experience (Periop/OR)

  • 3-5 years computer experience

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Nursing Education

  • Nursing specialty certification

  • 3-5 years of education experience
