Salisbury Behavioral Health is currently seeking a full-time Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) with Forensic training to provide peer support services at a spacious home for sixteen residents in Pipersville, PA. The Salisbury Behavioral Heath home is a licensed program providing residential services for people dealing with the challenges of severe and persistent mental illness. Our philosophy of care is based on recovery values and principles.
Responsibilities & Duties:
The Certified Forensic Peer Specialist will support residents in establishing roots in their community.
The Certified Forensic Peer Specialist will provide education in utilizing available community services and supports.
The Certified Forensic Peer Specialist will work with residents both individually and in a group setting.
The Certified Forensic Peer Specialist will act as a role model to persons in recovery through sharing life experience and lessons learned to inspire hope.
The Certified Forensic Peer Specialist will support residents in developing a WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) and will facilitate WRAP groups.
Familiarity with Bucks County programs and services is preferred.
Valid Driver’s license
2+ Year Experience working in mental health field
Peer Support Certification through the PA Certification Board
WRAP Seminar I and II Certification
Be willing to continue your education and receive certifications through the Mental Health Association of Southeastern PA.
