Job Summary:

Metal Depots is looking for a talented, driven Store Manager that thrives in a fast-paced competitive environment. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth objectives. The Store Manager is responsible for managing the entire operation of the store in the selling of all offered products, supervising employees, counter sales, bookkeeping, inventory control, and typical warehouse operationssuch as receiving, loading, unloading, etc. The Store Manager reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for the day to day functionality of the store (which includes operationalfunctions such as inventory management, verification of daily deposits and the perpetual management of certain daily reports)

  • Acts as a Sales Representative for the company (as well as an agent when away from the store),engaging in the quoting, selling, and coordinating of material sales to customers. This is a ‘working manager’ position.

  • Opening/closing and securing the store

  • Verification and transport of daily deposits to guarantee fraud prevention

  • Manage the maintenance and overall care of the building to provide a safe workingenvironment

  • Maintain and enforce a high standard of customer service while leading byexample

  • Communicate the company culture and promote correct behavior

  • Develop, implement and track sales plans and initiatives to drive revenue growth

  • Quote, sell and coordinate projects ranging from small component packs to

  • Pre-engineered Metal Buildings

  • Ensure employee development and growth

  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand

  • Organize and manage work schedules and labor hours

  • Maintain price competitiveness of store while protecting margins and improvingprofitability

  • Manage and approve vendor expenses both internal and external


  • Business degree is desirable, but not required

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pre-engineered metal building / components

  • Industry or construction background preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Proficiency with basic accounting principles

  • Be able to operate in multiple systems for quoting, order entry and other daily operations
