The Materials Manager is responsible for leading the activities related to the purchase of material, material planning, production planning, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions within the Honeywell SPS group. This role requires you to develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems. You will own the Material Management Function to meet the customer's needs in terms of delivery, inventory, cost and quality. You will be accountable for building up the functional excellence to support business objectives and lead project teams within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead teams

  • Optimize Material management procedures

  • Improve Operating System Maturity

  • Health, Safety and Environment compliance

  • Measure supplier capability and capacity

  • Engage in new production introduction(NPI) activities

  • Monitor freight cost

  • Annual cost and Inventory reduction

  • Develop talent resource planning

You must have

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years’ experience in a management role

  • 5+ years of experience in Materials management

  • 4+ years of working in large scale MRP and ERP systems

We value

  • Experience in project management

  • Knowledge in Lean practice

  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems; SAP is preferred

  • Ability to motivate team members and get results

  • Ability to lead/inspire change, and influence/mentoring others

  • Mentor junior members or peers
