Oracle Sr. Principal Program Manager - Oracle Database Security in Petaluma, California

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product. Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of project management, product design or related experience needed. Database Security - Program Management Team Sr. Principal Program Manager (IC5) US Remote We are looking for a seasonedTechnical Program Manager with a strong product development background to join our efforts providing world-class security solutions for Oracle’s products and services. The Database Security Program Management team establishes and drives to a high level of security criteria for a wide variety of Oracle’s products and services. As a TPM, you will work with product development constituents across Oracle’s lines of business to: * Identify their requirements and understand their uptake processes * Define and pursue automation and integration opportunities * Translate new customer requirements and feedback into technical requirements and long term product strategy * Streamline or re-invent processes to best support development goals * Work closely with different LOBs to develop, maintain and execute a cryptography roadmap You will be working across a virtual team with differing timelines and objectives, to lead us through planning and designing technical solutions to solve the business’s problems in a very agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The position relies heavily on influence to drive project deliverables. The successful candidate must have deep engineering experience, problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and notable experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with a focus on large corporate and enterprise customers. We are looking for a self-starter technical leader with a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects. This position requires a solid systems-level technical background, and the candidate should have a background in driving adoption of new technology among disparate teams with competing priorities. You will partner closely with peers, developers and the entire Oracle security community. This position requires deep technical knowledge and hands on program leadership in managing innovative development and security implementation and across the Oracle corporate enterprise. With your deep customer, technical and security experience, you will shape Oracle’s security brand through delivery of leading edge, secure solutions. Key Responsibilities Work with teams across many of Oracle’s lines of business (including but not limited to Database, Fusion Middleware, GBUs) to delivercryptography solutionsfor Oracle’s business requirements. Work with teams to ensure a high level of security assurance across Oracle’s flagship cloud services and products. You will work with a virtual team to: * Define requirements * Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. * Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal customers on technical matters. * Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints * Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. * You will regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met * You must have the ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. You should have demonstrated leadership and people management skills, strong communication skills, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of product development and product management. * BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Ideal Experience * Technical program management experience over multiple release cycles or lifecycles for enterprise products or services. * Technical background as a systems level engineer. * Ability to work independently, defining and managing one’s own work while still providing transparency and accountability to management and other interested parties * Ability to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures. * Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering individuals at all levels including the executive level. * Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. * Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
