What You Will Do:
Every day that you come to work, you improve people’s lives! As our Patient Care Technician, you not only impact the lives of the patients who you touch, but you have an impact on the patient’s entire family! As a PCT in our Emergency Department, you are the member of the healthcare team who has the most direct contact with our patients; and they will remember you!
The Patient Care Tech performs basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.
Aids with entry and exit of patients.
Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.
What You Will Need:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School Education or equivalent required
Completion of a medical program (such as EMT, MA, CNA, etc.) preferred
- 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Department strongly preferred
