Pfizer Inc. GPD Creation Center Clinical Development Data Management Team Lead in Peapack, New Jersey

ROLE SUMMARY
As a member of the Digital Global Product Development (GPD) Creation Center organization, this role leads the GPD Clinical Development Data Management Team to create, configure and integrate all core technology solutions to digitize, optimize and re-engineer business operations to achieve strategic imperatives and benefits. The business functions in scope manage, aggregate, analyze and report the operations, scientific and subject data associated with clinical trials. These business functions include data acquisition (electronic data capture) for clinical trials, data ingestion for clinical report forms (CRF) and non-CRF data types, clinical scientific data (subject data) data management practices, and clinical trials management data.

GPD delivers innovative clinical trial designs and quantitative methods for drug assets and programs to deliver high quality data, solutions and reporting for trials and submissions. GPD strives to be the preferred collaborative partner for harnessing the power of clinical operations, managing the scientific and subject data to drive robust evidence-based decision-making and shape the scientific and healthcare environment.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the delivery of a portfolio of global digital projects to design and implement solutions, systems, tools, or platforms for Global Product Development (GPD).
Transform architectural and business concepts and requirements into robust technology designs and engineering configurations to deliver sustainable, core solutions for transactions, data management and analytics core solutions.
Work closely with the Client Partner, Digital Services and GPD Information Management organizations to understand business processes, strategies, imperatives, data and project requirements.
Lead, oversee and contribute to matrix project teams including other Digital functions, service providers and external partners to deliver business value and achieve objectives.
Apply both direct supervision and indirect influence to achieve desired outcomes for data management for clinical study activities such as study protocol, data collection, aggregation, study conduct, clinical study report summarization.
Accountable to business leaders for commitments and measured outcomes.
Applies an understanding of digital architecture, engineering, software development (Agile) and technology management of solutions, tools and platforms.
Mentor and guide colleagues in completing their assigned work and to grow their capabilities and careers. Coach colleagues for individual development planning.
Influence and communicate effectively new or complex ideas using varied tools and techniques to influence different audiences across organizations and stakeholders.
Ability to act tactically and think strategically, and switch leadership styles to influence, guide and coach individuals and teams.
Responsible to understand and follow all Pfizer policies, procedures, Agile practices and Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and work instructions.
Active leadership of approximately ten colleagues and 25 indirect team members in an agile and fast-paced environment that embraces change, balances competing priorities and incorporates learnings.
Responsible for a portfolio for multiple business lines with multiple projects (15 to 40) and solutions (25 to 50) with financial responsibility upwards of $10M in the execution of project delivery, engineering and implementation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and experience with evaluating and introducing emerging technology (digital, serverless, mobile, robotics, analytics, etc.) to accelerate innovation in clinical and product development processes.
Deep understanding of the engineering, development, implementation and management of information technology solutions, tools and platforms.
BS in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, Business Management or related field and 12+ years relevant technical experience.
12 years' experience as an information manager or technology professional in one or many roles such as an architect, data manager, data engineer, software developer, systems administrator, business partner, database administrator, systems engineer, computer engineer or support specialist.
Demonstrated experience managing large technology projects from beginning to value realization. Demonstrated capabilities with software development processes including Agile, systems design and development management, testing (unit, system, end user acceptance, performance, and load) and systems integration
Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of colleagues and other team members to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Demonstrated domain knowledge and experience in clinical trial processes, product development, clinical trials data management and biomedical research.
Experience and understanding of existing and emerging healthcare industry data standards.
Ability to lead in a high energy environment and demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and high expectations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to synthesize scientific information and create clear updates for senior leadership.
Demonstrated experience managing financials, budgets and project forecasts, and negotiating with suppliers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience leading and influencing a matrix team of 20 plus members in a complex organization with multiple senior stakeholders to achieve outcomes at an enterprise or global scale.
Ability to synthesize and organize numerous, complex requests to prioritize requirements, functions and features for greatest business value and manage stakeholder expectations.
Demonstrated decision making capabilities for technologies, implementation priorities, resource management, make versus buy, suppliers and stakeholder requests.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to indirectly influence key partners and stakeholders with clear, concise and well-formed message tailored to the audience.
Ability to articulate the strategic use and business value of digital technologies, data and analytics that advance GPD business imperatives and automate GPD processes.
Capabilities to act tactically and think strategically, and switch leadership styles to influence, guide and coach individuals and teams.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
No unique requirements. Primarily working in an office environment (sitting, walking). Must be able to work on a laptop or desktop computer for long periods of time.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

U.S. and international travel approximately 20%.
