The Salesforce Identity group has multiple openings for Software Engineers (all levels) who are passionate about solving complex problems. Come join a highly visible, mission critical team that is designing and building out the next generation of industry leading, globally highly available at scale Identity and Authentication Services to power our customer’s Identity use cases across our entire product portfolio, including acquisitions .

Have no experience in building Identity products? As long as you have solid software engineering skills and the passion for the identity/security niche, we will give you the tools to succeed! Identity and related areas in the enterprise applications market are only going to grow more and more in demand.

More about the work

We are re-architecting our login service that currently handles billions of logins per month and runs Authentication for all Salesforce platforms & properties. You'll work on new & existing protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML that we've pioneered & adopted in partnership with other industry leaders. You'll solve challenging engineering problems both in the Identity and Security domain, as well as around distributed systems problems such as replication, high availability, and scalability as we move into our next chapter of both B2B and B2C growth.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming

  • Experience building multi-tier scalable web applications

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and understanding of Relational Database schema design

  • Test Driven Development, Documentation, Code reviews, etc.

Desired Skills

  • Authentication or Application Security related work

  • ​Hands-on experience with Java

  • SAML/OAuth/OpenID

  • Apex or Visualforce experience

  • Lightning/Web UI development

  • ​REST/SOAP/XML/WSDL
