VMware Search Engine Campaign Manager in Palo Alto, California

Search Engine Campaign Manager to join our Paid Search team. This support role will work directly with the Sr. Manager, Global Search to ensure successful and flawless execution of our SEM programs.

Responsibilities include:

Assist in meeting revenue and traffic goals by executing SEM across a variety of product categories.

Assist with day to day activities such as:

  • Champion SEM programs with a responsibility for driving new customer growth

  • Plan, develop and implement our SEM strategy for both Google and Bing

  • Partner with external agency to manage SEM channel to meet campaign ROI targets

  • Work with agency to manage trafficking of all assets for our search marketing programs, i.x. keywords, ad copy, asset workbook

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance and budget management

  • Drive the paid search process and manage campaigns with internal stakeholders

  • Track and analyze SEM results and improve performance based on learnings

  • Help support project plans and monitor calendars for campaign launches; keep tasks on schedule

Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Business or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of hands-on paid search optimization and strategy experience

  • Advanced knowledge of SEM tactics pertaining to core brand/non-brand search, RLSA and remarketing.

  • Experience with campaign set up and management of Google Display and You-Tube

  • Strong reporting and analysis skills. Experience with Google Adwords, SA360 and Omniture Site Catalyst is required

  • Ability to deal with change with a passion for innovation and creative problem solving. Ability to quickly learn and become fluent in new technologies

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills

  • Ability to self-manage, juggle multiple priorities and pay strong attention to details

  • Must be an analytical operator and a strong communicator

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Passion for SEM/SEO
