As a member of our construction crew, you will work under the guidance of your foreman, along with others on the team, to construct our buildings and bring the customers' dreams to life. These positions provide significant career advancement which is largely driven by your desire to succeed.Under the guidance of your crew foreman you will:ulliLearn, keep current with and apply the Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards/liliRead, understand and build according to construction plans/liliUtilize various tools and equipment to safely and efficiently construct buildings/liliEfficiently execute tasks such as: digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, entry and other doors and door openings, installing various siding and roofing materials including hi-rib steel, shingles, wood and other siding materials and mortarless masonry units, finishing with metal and wood trims/liliWork with other crewpersonnel in a safe, organized, productive and enjoyable work environment treating everyone with dignity and respect/li/ulQUALIFICATIONSulliBuilding construction (post-frame), carpentry or framing experience preferred (on the job or in school)/liliWillingness to participate in and complete a training program/liliMust possess a valid driver's license and Class A CDL is highly desired/liliOSHA 10-Hour Certification is highly desired/liliAvailable to work a flexible schedule (6 am to 6 pm) that will include Saturdays during peak construction periods/liliAbility to take direction/liliProduce quality work in an efficient manner/liliAgree to comply with all our safety processes and procedures/liliWillingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner/liliAbility to operate specialized safety equipment efficiently and effectively/liliStandard weight lifting requirements - 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds/liliCapable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (up to 40 feet)/liliPossess good communication skills - both written and verbal/liliThis position requires 20% travel, which includes overnight travel possibly up to two weeks at a time./li/ulBenefits include:ulliEmployee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)/liliExcellent medical/dentalrescription coverage/liliLife Insurance/liliBonus incentives for building in efficient manner/liliTraining bonus/liliSafety incentives/liliPaid holidays/liliPaid vacation/liliPaid sick time/liliBad weather pay/lili401K Opportunity/li/ulemSalary is $16.00 to $19.00 per hour based on experience plus bonus potential./emOur construction crew positions are eligible for three years of progressive pay increases based upon experience, required training, and attendance.**This position is an approved appren
