Role Summary:

Responsible for sales and revenue generation and/or client relationship management for highly complex accounts that are often regional in scale. Creates, monitors, and revises lead generation plans for the development of new revenue pipelines. Maintains significant industry knowledge and proactively researches trends, competitor services/offerings, and clients' business environment. Oversees assigned highly sophisticated client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, a swift response to client needs, efficient problem resolution, contract and operational compliance, and risk mitigation. Utilizes deep expertise to proactively identify potential growth opportunities that will help clients achieve their goals. Guides less experienced professionals' compliance with sales policies and programs. Responsible for achieving sales and profit goals for the region. Responsible for the achievement of substantial sales targets.


Sells the organization's products and/or services to clients whose business may affect the financial performance of the region and its achievement of goals. Promotes firm services and offerings to assigned clients based on understanding of clients' business objectives to increase client revenue from clients whose business may affect business unit or regional financial performance for the firm. Influences sales of products and services across the business unit. Structures deals in the best interests of the client and the firm. Responsible for significant new business development from strategic prospects. Identifies and qualifies prospects, develops a “trusted advisor” relationship, and influences them to embrace recommended solutions. Evaluates the strategic potential of prospects; develops and executes a plan for capitalizing on those opportunities in the near and long term. Develops in-depth knowledge of the assigned clients, their sensitivities, and their business needs to effectively influence their decision making. Coordinates sales opportunities for assigned clients across partner team and groups as necessary.

Partners with marketing team contacts and other sales teams to develop promotional and pitch materials. Generates ideas, messages and tactics for assigned business unit to promote our products and services to client contacts. Coordinates with the request for proposal team to develop innovative responses. Develop and executes relationship management strategy for target engagements to drive sales and ensures successful client relationship performance. Retains direct client management of key clients.

Assembles teams across different teams to deliver tailored presentations based on custom needs of clients. Develops new leads with large, sophisticated clients and pitches new opportunities

Serves as a specialist on standard methodologies, new regulatory requirements, industry trends, and competitor services/offerings throughout the function. Oversees research activities to ensure focus on developing market-based solutions based on client needs. Analyzes highly sophisticated data, trends, plan changes, and strategies to keep up to date with sales/relationship performance. Uses expertise to interpret and apply highly complex information in advising clients. Applies significant influence, guiding client decision making on matters of high importance.

Influences the most complex sales across a wide product and services portfolio on a regional and/or global basis, engaging the appropriate internal contacts, as advised, to ensure contract requirements are in alignment with organizational policies and standards. Applies considerable latitude in figuring out optimal approach to meet the needs of T. Rowe Price and the client.


  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience
