Lockheed Martin System Integration and Test Engineer in Owego, New York

Description: At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, become a part of our team as a System Engineer for the Owego, NY Test team. This position is responsible for the qualification, integration, and life cycle support of the MH-60R and the MH-60S avionics systems.

The successful candidate will apply systems engineering principles throughout the system life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Test. Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the MH-60R and MH-60S subsystem capabilities.

Must have a Secret Security Clearance.

Must be a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:

Qualified Candidate reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for testability, develops, and executes comprehensive test plans, and creates procedure/schedules for complete Datalink Subsystem Integration.

Applications should expect to be assigned tasks to investigate, propose solutions for, and close on technical topics of interest to the customer and to the program.

-Requires an engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or 3 years of applicable experience in a related field.

-Experience with requirements development, system design, problem analysis and resolution, Functional Element Generation, and integration and test.

-Datalink Systems Integration experience on MH-60 Platform helicopters with a focus on Link-16 Integration.

-Strong teamwork and Problem Solving Skills

-Test Engineering Experience

-Naval Helo Program (NHP) Mission Computer Avionics Operation Program (AOP) Integration Experience

-Experience using MATLAB

-Experience using TCG Battlefield Operations Support System (BOSS)

-Experience interpreting MIL-STD-6016 DataLink Communication Systems

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Including Excel, Access, and other databases.

-Experience working in classified/access-controlled facilities

Desired Skills:

-Experience with databus and Ethernet standards, including MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429, IEEE 802.3

-Experience with instrumentation and data capture, IRIG Chapter 10 or Wireshark or Python or CoPilot 1553B

-Experience with a diversity of complex electrical and mechanical systems

-Application of the overall Systems Engineering Efforts

-Experience with requirements tracking and bug tracking tools such as DOORS and JIRA

-Experience on the Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) Datalink/Link-16 subsystem integration

-Ability to read and use technical schematics, drawings, software specifications, and manuals to resolve complex problems

-Ability to brief/teach technical information to internal and external customers
