What you’ll be doing...

As an Project Engineer you will work with a dynamic team which is responsible to manage the lifecycle of the customers networks within management systems, taking ownership for monitoring and fixing management and system anomalies. We pride ourselves on teamwork to drive success and in parallel, individual growth to build each team members knowledge and career progression within Verizon. With training and knowledge you will have the capability of working on your own assignments with very high customer focus and attention to details.

  • Customer Focus: Customer service oriented, flexible and motivated to achieve above and beyond requests tasks to drive team success in exceeding customer’s expectations.

  • Quality: Maintain data integrity within our management system tools to protect high quality service to our Customers and Managed Services Operational teams.

  • Proactive: Seek collaboration between internal teams and to have a Continual Service Improvement mind-set to review and develop initiatives and tool automation to improve acceptance quality control and our processes.

  • Project Oriented: Participant in product development projects; have an advisory role towards network and management representation in backend management systems.

  • Technical Ability: In time, demonstrate a clear overview of Managed Services supported products and underlying technologies.

  • Problem Solving: Employ a structured approach to logical troubleshooting and resolve methodology.

  • Flexibility: Recognizing that the introduction of new products, technologies, procedures and systems is necessary to the continued development of Verizon.

  • Team Work: Work efficiently as an individual whilst contributing to the teams overall results.

  • Communication: Ensuring that all team documentation is up-to-date and adding value to day-to-day operations of the team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge of IT networks.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and G–Suite applications.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in IT or related.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of networking.

  • Flexible attitude towards an evolving environment.

  • Quality Assurance experience.

  • Project management experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to ‘think out of the box’, develop and implement new processes.

  • Vendor Certifications, ideally CISCO, ITL and ISO certification.
