Lockheed Martin Sustainment Engineer Sr in Orlando, Florida
Description: Looking for a Sustainment Engineer to develop Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and long-term sustainment strategy for the IRST program. This position will help migrate the program from development into production/sustainment with the task to develop the up-front program maintenance concept to the implementation of a depot.
Experience working directly with the Navy/Air Force SPO or direct experience in migrating a previous production program from development to sustainment is necessary. Candidate must be able to establish strong customer relationships to help in the planning and execution of the sustainment strategy.
Participate in the development of logistics work products such as Logistics Support Analysis Records, Integrated Support Plans, Support Equipment Recommendations Data, various supply support and provisioning requirements, Packaging Handling Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T) support requirements, technical manuals, technical coordination, and support of fielded repairables as required.
Analyze engineering design of product and submit specifications for maintenance requirements, using knowledge of maintainability engineering and related technologies. Perform Maintenance Task analysis to the GEIA-0007 standard using SLICwave.
Review engineering designs and changes for logistics and sustainment impacts, interact with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, program managers and customers during logistics engineer analyses and sustainment planning to develop repair procedures, tools, and support equipment requirements. As necessary, propose design refinements to improve ratio of operational time to maintenance time, and propose changes in both design and process to improve supportability, repairability, and maintainability. Formulate recommendations for field/depot spares, repair parts and support equipment (SE). Plan and manage tools, SE, and spares coordination efforts for deployed units and test activities.
This may require travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment
- Candidate has an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Experience working with the Navy or Air Force SPO or transitioning a defense program from design to production/sustainment
