Join us as a Site General Manager and you’ll be

looking at a career-defining role based at our site in Orlando, FL.

As a Site General Manager, you will be responsible

for providing overall leadership responsibility and accountability for the

success of a small Service Delivery Center (SDC). The incumbent is the primary

Bombardier representative to the customer and community, demonstrating the

highest level of ethical professionalism and delivering the message that

Bombardier Transportation is the global leader in the transportation industry. Also,

maintains overall accountability for talent management and development for the




Leads a team directly with no leadership hierarchy, at the SDC.


Adapts leadership style to suit one-to-one interactions.


Maintains a constant one-to-one presence with all employees across all

shifts, and routinely engages the staff.


Develops team to maximum capability within constraints of Technician



Recognizes skill and encourages development outside the SDC when



Defines, communicates, and provides a true safety culture, in the absence

of a Site Safety Professional.


Conscious of budgets and controls necessary to achieve financial targets,

exhibits basic budgetary management skills.


Maintains a rapport with the Customer (usually first level Contract

Manager) for harmonious day-to-day relationship.


Local technical expert on the local system and contract.


Liaison between Customer and others in Bombardier.


Facilitates customer needs and questions.


Creates a network of support needed to manage the SDC.


Understands others’ point of view and adapts communication to persuade,

convince and influence.


Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.


Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience as a Manager leading a Technical/Maintenance environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.


Experience in the transportation industry.
