The Quality Assurance Engineer reports up through the JLCCTC (Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability) Program Management team and is responsible for executing and/or managing the CMMI comprehensive quality management program and to satisfy the quality-related expectations of the customer. This role ensures compliance with the CMMI comprehensive quality management program. Additionally, this position will be assigned other projects or tasks in alignment with the level and scope of the position.
Adhere to established CMMI processes and compliance.
Collect, organize and analyze organizational project data to assess how satisfied customers are.
Author program related documentation as appropriate.
Perform product quality control, peer reviews and/or audits to assess compliance with stated requirements.
Design and test documentation for compliance requirements.
Identify systemic issues or trends.
Ensure focus on organizational continuous improvement plans and programs.
Support security and information assurance activities.
Provide mentoring and training to program employees where appropriate.
Conduct initiatives and research to develop and establish quality assurance guidelines, best practices and standards into new CMMI quality assurance processes.
Collaborate with the development team establishing and integrating quality checks throughout process flow.
Track cross-team issues and help with resolution.
May lead small team and/or provide technical direction to junior engineers (Level V).
Business degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understand CMMI: highly desirable 3+ years of experience in CMMI-based Process Improvement
3+ Years of experience with CMMI Level 3 and above for Process Improvement
Fully understand the quality assurance practices, procedures and standards
Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing, developing, designing, and deploying organizational standard processes and process assets using different process representations and platforms for user access and implementation
Recognized as an advanced knowledge in Project Management, Process Management, Service Delivery Management and knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices
Proven background and track record of successfully leading major projects
Proven abilities in organizational change management, leading multiple projects and facilitating workshops
Work without supervision with latitude for independent judgement
Highly proficient written and oral communication skills
Holds (or has the ability to obtain) a minimum DoD Secret security clearance.
Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required
Domestic and International travel to Military Installations in support of JLCCTC Program activities is required.
