Essential Job Functions:

QuEST is seeking an individual to join our team in Orchard Park, NY. The individual will be working as a Manufacturing Engineer where he/she will be responsible providing program and product support. The individual must be capable of working on a multidiscipline team, familiar with production flow and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include:

Job Functions Provide engineering support to the customer's manufacturing & assembly organizations to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems. Assist in the shop floor as necessary Process JIS tickets and job routings Drive internal and supply base activities related to Statistical Process Control, Capacity Assessment, First Article Review, Process review, Risk Assessments, and Lean Manufacturing Tools and Principals to meet QuEST’s customers’ quantity and schedule demands

Qualifications

  • Facilitate PFMEA creation and implementation

  • Part Valuation model creation and validation

  • Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, and quality.

  • Present project and work updates to customers through presentations and other review meetings

  • Communicate and Interact with internal and external customers

  • We are excited to talk to you if:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering degree

  • BS/AS in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

  • 4+ years in manufacturing engineering with hands on manufacturing experience

  • Familiarity with Aerospace Engine parts, requirements, and specifications

  • Prior experience with Solumina to create JIS tickets and job routings

  • Hands on intimate experience in various machining methods, involving CNC and conventional methods and assembly techniques

  • Solid understanding of Engineering & Manufacturing Drawings with the ability to interpret GD&T standards (ASME Y 14.5).

  • Knowledgeable in inspection & gauging methods and concepts.

  • Exposure to Data collection and Analysis using QC tools and other SPC techniques (Control Chart, Control Plan, Design of Experiment, Gage R&R, KPCs, PFMEA, Process Capability Indices, Process Mapping)
