Keurig Dr Pepper Operations Supervisor in Olympia, Washington
As a Operations Supervisor in Packaging you are responsible for overall operating performance of the Keurig Dr Pepper production operations. You will work with the team to streamline efficiency of production with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and improving financial results.
Shift & Schedule:
This full-time position will be based in our Sumner, WA plant and will support our Day shift, working 5:00am - 5:00pm PST on a 2-2-3 schedule (working half the year).
This is an exempt, salaried position paid on a bi-weekly cycle. Pay is flexible and determined based on candidate experience. Attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) is also available immediately.
Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple high-speed packaging lines.
Supervise up to 65 production employees in our Packaging operations.
Hires, schedules, and supervises full time staff and temporary additional staff.
Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and that safety is a mindset in all areas of responsibility.
Meet all safety, quality, delivery, productivity, growth, yield/waste, and engagement goals
Responsibility to for ensuring the production of safe, quality product and to report safety, food safety, quality and regulatory compliance and incidents to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action
Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are always safe.
Works directly with Engineering, Quality Control, Maintenance and Facilities on projects to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses
Tracks productivity for measured shift efficiency and improvement
Operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training
Make recommendations for long term solutions, including recommendations for replacing equipment, refurbishing equipment, procedural changes, productivity improvement, material change, etc., related to the area of accountability.
Drive the continuous improvement and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) agenda in area of responsibility through teamwork, skills and capability development.
Must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations to employees and management
Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all front-line Keurig Dr Pepper staff on-shift
Provide current, direct, complete, and actionable positive and corrective feedback to others
Ensures that Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures are adhered to
Performs other duties as requested by management
3+ years of strong leadership experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices, Kaizen, TPM, and/or other methods of Continuous Improvement and change management preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word with demonstrated knowledge of productivity tracking
Previous experience with SAP or similar system preferred
Ability to work independently and as a team to positively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment with focused attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Solid understanding of food manufacturing, coffee experience preferable
Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to problems
Must have the ability to work a fast paced, constantly evolving environment with focused attention to detail
Work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime according to changing business needs and be able to travel occasionally
Ability to follow KDP policies and procedures
