We?re looking for an Account Representative to join our Select Business Unit in Oldsmar, FL!

Account Representative essential functions include:

  • Manages an assigned book of business, meeting all performance requirements regarding production, quality, and service and ensuring that no liability associated with errors and omissions occur.

  • Actively seeks to grow IOA business, including identifying and actin on sales opportunities, including cross selling current book.

  • Tracks policy expirations for existing clients, and works proactively to ensure appropriate actions are taken to facilitate renewals, working with Account Coordinators and Account Manager to make sure policies are renewed in a timely manner.

  • Participates in managing Accounts Receivables reports and take action on any delinquent accounts.

  • Participates in new business and policy renewal process in conjunction with Producer, AE, AM or Ops Team Leader including:

  • Conducing client research and gather all necessary information to ensure proper coverages

  • Performing any necessary or requested online rating and send it to Rating

  • Conducting loss-run analysis

  • Preparing complete, accurate submission applications and submitting them to carriers

  • Evaluating and negotiating coverages and pricing with guidance from AM/Producer.

  • Presenting client proposals

  • Binding coverages, including securing signed mandatory forms, and applications per IOA procedures

  • Maintains agency automation system to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.

  • Prepares and maintains accurate schedules of policies and coverages.

  • Monitors and maintains pending action items (suspense), taking any necessary action to ensure completion with required time frames.

  • Participates in reviewing contracts to ensure proper coverages are included.

  • Participates in a variety of administrative tasks, including timely and accurate process of endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements and other related items. Direct Account Coordinator in these tasks.

  • Maintains frequent, transparent communication with Producer(s), AE, AM or Ops Team Leader regarding individual and team client service and policy administration activities, ensuring he/she is fully informed.

  • Assists with facilitation of client claims processes as needed.

  • Develops and maintains positive carrier relationships.

  • Quickly and responsibly alerts Operations Management to any individual or team performance/professionalism issue, collaborates as needed regarding any corrective actions to be taken and support and participates in implementation when requested.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Previous insurance industry experience as a CSR (or equivalent)

  • All required active licensing

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Excellent administrative, organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy and efficiency

  • PC proficient

  • Exceptional personal character

  • High school diploma or equivalent
