POSITION PURPOSE: (Summary) The Acquisition Logistics Support will assist with the development of logistics requirements to include establishing and maintaining integrated program schedules, tracking, reporting, and evaluating metrics, conducting analyses, and providing technical assistance for total life cycle cost, logistics supportability, and warranty. Position contingent upon contract award.
Essential Functions: • Provide acquisition and sustainment logistics support for Air Logistics Cruise Missiles (ALCM), Conventional Air Logistics Cruise Missiles (CALCM), Bomber Weapons Integration Equipment (BWIE), and Functional Ground Test (FGT) programs, with emphasis on Support and Test Equipment. • Plan, coordinate, and manage, cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems. • Accomplish logistics management analyses, preparing written reports, conducting studies, defining alternative solutions, and recommending actions to accomplish management of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements. • Develop logistics requirements to include establishing and maintaining integrated program schedules, tracking, reporting, and evaluating metrics, conducting analyses, and providing technical assistance for total life cycle cost, logistics supportability, and warranty. • Support demilitarization to include building spreadsheets and databases, assisting with environmental analyses, scheduling meetings, and tracking parts. • Assist with DoD supply systems and databases to include the Integrated Logistics System – Supply (ILS-S) and the DO43 Item Management Control System. • Establish maintenance and support concepts, plans, and requirements to be performed during the total life cycle of the system or equipment, to include Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS). • Define logistics requirements by recommending procurements, repair activities, budgeting, and disposition of excess material.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree is highly desired.
Experience: A minimum of 5 (five) years’ Weapon System Logistics Management knowledge & experience
License, Cert or Registration: • Current drivers’ license • Proof of U.S. citizenship • The ability to obtain security clearance enabling access to various Government facilities
Special knowledge, skills & abilities: • Knowledge and experience of logistics best commercial practices and DoD directed concepts, such as Performance-Based Logistics (PBL). • Extensive knowledge and experience in Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP) and Logistics Health Assessments (LHAs). • APDP Level II in Life Cycle Logistics certification, or an industry equivalent, within the past five years, is preferred. • Knowledge and experience with the Air Force (AF) Supply Management concept of operations is preferred. • Knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DoD) supply systems and databases, to include the Integrated Logistics System – Supply (ILS-S) and DO43 Item Management Control System, is preferred.
