PSG Global Solutions Pipette Assembler in Oakland, California

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Pipette Assembler , working in the Manufacturing industry in Oakland, California .

  • Positions parts in specified relationship to each other, follows instructions provided verbally or in writing.

  • Presses, screws, clips, bolts, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together.

  • Works at bench as member of assembly group assembling a few specific parts placing them in a bin.

  • Loads and unloads previously setup tools or machines such as arbor presses or sonic-welding machines to perform fastening, force fitting, or light cutting operations at assembly benches.

  • Works at different work stations building sub-assemblies as production needs require.

  • Checks components and assemblies for defects, reports problems as they arise, and performs rework as directed.

  • Writes information on production-report forms and types in information into computerized database. Writes defect information as required.

  • Communicates with Leads and Supervisor about process or assembly issues both verbally and/or in writing.

  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Individual has 6 to 12 months of mechanical-assembly or electronic-assembly experience desired, but not required.

  • Ability to read and interpret written information such as safety rules, assembly instructions, bills of materials, and production schedules.

  • Ability to write routine reports.

  • Ability to speak effectively to fellow employees.

  • Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Familiar with FileMaker Pro, Micro-Soft Excel data entry preferred.


The pay range we are offering is 15 to 16 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.
