Kaiser Permanente Marketing& Account Management Intern - Undergraduate in Oakland, California
National Sales and Account Management is an organization that delivers sustainable membership growth for Kaiser Permanente. As part of National Sales and Account Management, the National Market Engagement team designs, supports, and implements programs to increase brand awareness, thought leadership, and influence with customers, prospects, and national consultant partners.
The National Market Engagement intern will be asked to assist with achieving 2021 departmental goals. Initially, the intern will be asked to support:
Drafting communications plans
Developing/producing internal conferences and programs
Developing/producing channel engagements (e.g.: virtual thought leadership sessions for consultant channel partners)
Identifying new market engagement opportunities to enhance virtual market visibility
Tracking program participation and survey results
Determine and deliver at least one of the four consultant communications thought leadership sessions (via webinar or alternative virtual modality). This contribution will result in enhancing influence with channel partners and increase Kaiser Permanente’s brand visibility.
Identify at least one new market engagement opportunity resulting in strengthening Kaiser Permanente’s brand visibility and awareness/understanding of the value of Kaiser Permanente’s integrated care and coverage model in the market.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Works collaboratively in a team setting
Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills
Comfortable with prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with Microsoft suite of applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams
Event planning experience desired
Public Relations & Communications
• Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
• Report development and analytics.
• Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
• Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
• Job shadowing in other functional areas.
• Performing additional duties as required.
While COVID-19 continues to be prevalent in our communities, our non-care delivery staff are working on a temporary remote status and anticipate all 2021 interns will be considered remote workers. Candidates must reside in a market where KP is a registered and qualified employer.
Basic Qualifications:Experience- N/AEducation- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.License, Certification, Registration- N/A Additional Requirements:- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:- 3.0 GPA or above.- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
