Job Summary: Supervises staff, organizes and monitors department work flow to meet production standards Essential Functions: Communicates job expectations; monitors and evaluates performance; coaches counsels, and disciplines employees; enforces policies and procedures Trains employees, and identifies opportunities for professional growth. Monitors work processes and processing variables; observes control points and equipment; monitors personnel and resources; makes suggestions for continuous improvement; follows reporting procedures and systems; facilitates corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and among departments Completes daily production schedule, scheduling and assigning personnel to designated areas, establishes production priorities; monitors progress; revises schedules as needed or when feasible, reports results on shift production pass down summaries daily. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards Ensures continuous operation of equipment by requesting repairs, entering work orders, and ensuring proper inspection, set-up and break-down of equipment on a daily basis. Evaluates equipment for proper operations and set-up. Compiles and reports production performance records and data Investigates personnel issues; identifies solutions; and takes necessary actions to ensure proper resolution of the problem. Physical/Environmental Conditions: Required standing for long periods of time. Frequent bending/stooping and reaching below waist and shoulder level. Occasional lifting/carrying product from 5 pounds up to 50 pounds. Occasional kneeling/pushing/pulling/and walking. Working in a cold, damp, and wet environment on a daily basis. Hearing, Eye and Foot protection, and any other required PPE is required at all times out on the production floor. Works overtime as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 3+ years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good general computer operation skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance. Ability to perform all production functions.
