Job Title: Workday Payroll Analyst/Functional Consultant

Location: Remote until approval to return onsite. Lake County Illinois

compensation: $68.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance.

Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $157,000.00

Job Description

This role is to work with global end user groups to identify solutions to business problems, processes, or inefficiencies. Review, analyzes, and evaluates HR and Payroll business systems and user needs. Evaluates existing HR and Payroll systems and/or user needs and makes recommendations.

  • This role will require the individual to manage life-cycle of assigned change requests from initial discovery phase through implementation.

  • Workday hands-on experience required. Certification in Workday a plus

  • This role is not a hands on Workday Developer role, but partnering with system implementer for development and business partners for requirement gathering and offering design expertise/recommendations.

  • Looking for a strong in data conversion of payroll data and in testing especially parallel testing scenarios.

  • This person will be required to meet virtually or in person with various business stakeholders or external vendors to intake business requirements and translate those into functional requirements through documentation for our third-party support vendor to support system changes.

  • Must have a bachelor's degree and 4- 7 years of experience working on improvements HR/payroll systems including Workday

  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Provides consultation on business process topics related to the Workday application, HR and Payroll processes that are being delivered by other teams for integration into the overall HR and Payroll processes.

  • Clear understanding on the latest technologies for HR and Payroll processes

  • This is a lead role managing resources working on enhancements to the client?s HR and Payroll processes which includes several systems including Workday.

  • As a Business Analyst the candidate will lead the SDLC process to assure clear and accurate documentation and testing is completed for any system(s)changes to the HR/Payroll processes.

  • Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced team environment with strong written and verbal communication

  • Experience in the systems development, implementation, data conversion, testing and operations of large-scale, HR and Payroll enterprise systems

  • Prior experience with project implementation either as a Business Analyst or Consultant

  • 3-5 years? experience effectively leading requirement gathering sessions, facilitate meetings with internal/external customers and technical team members

  • Minimum of two years experience working with Workday HCM and/or Workday US/PR/CA/UK Payroll experience

  • Strong skills working in a global virtual environment with internal and external

  • Must have advance MS Office skills including Excel and SharePoint

  • Hands on experience with Waterfall/Agile methodologies.

  • Lead the creation, documentation, and approval of the HR/Payroll process flows for current and future state

  • Experience using MS teams a plus
