Norman Regional Health System Clerk Central Scheduling - Full-Time - Days in Norman, Oklahoma

Centralized Scheduling / Pre Access department is comprised of Centralized Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Insurance Verification, and Financial Counseling. Together we provide quality, compassionate care and customer service to our patients. Our team of healers work closely with departments across the Health System to meet the changing needs and expectations of our patients. We build strong relationships with the physicians and their support staff who entrust us with the care of their patients. From the first impression formed during the scheduling of an appointment, to helping patients understand and maximize their insurance coverage, to reviewing patient estimates and assisting with financial counseling over the phone or at the bedside, the Centralized Scheduling department is dedicated to continually improve the patient experience and health of our community, one patient at a time. Together with the Registration department, we are Patient Access Services!

Position is responsible for performing all aspects of Centralized Scheduling while maintaining a high level of customer service. Duties include non-surgical outpatient scheduling, indexing and scanning of physician orders and checking medical necessity.

High school education or equivalent.

College degree preferred.


Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

One to two years in a medical office or business office.

Knowledge of Medical Terminology required.

Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
