General Information: Helen Newberry Joy Hospital is seeking a highly competent and motivated individual to serve as Radiology/CT Technologist
Position: Radiology/CT Technologist
Job Status: Full Time; Friday (9 hour shift), Saturday (16 hour shift), Sunday (15 hour shift)
On Call & Holidays as required.
Salary: Hourly $25.55 - $32.93
Minimum one year experience independently executing a wide array of diagnostic CT scans as well as multiple years of experience producing top quality X-Rays.
Must possess excellent knowledge and comprehension of anatomy being imaged.
Must excel working independently and perform well under pressure in an ER Trauma setting as well as a sometimes fast paced environment.
Basic computer skills expected i.e. PACS, RIS.
Responsible for patient safety protocols i.e. radiation safety measures.
Responsible for abiding by HIPAA guidelines.
Ability to thoroughly explain exams performed.
Ability to perform the correct CT scan for the given diagnosis.
Ability to distinguish a medical emergency versus a non-critical finding on a CT Scan.
Must possess excellent team player skills.
ARRT Radiology registry required and CT registry within one year of hire.
Current BLS or obtained within three months of hire.
Mammography experience a plus, but not required.
