Job Summary:

Superfly is seeking a Vice President, Strategy to enhance, grow and extend our strategic and creative capabilities. In this role you will build a team of strategists, communication planners and analysts, while creating a culture of curiosity and strategic discipline across our agency. Reporting to the President & GM of the Agency, you?ll be part of the divisional leadership team shaping what?s next for Superfly.

  • You are deeply curious about how experiential is delivered today and in the future. How experiences in the live and digital worlds interact, affect brands and engage consumers while delivering overall business results for brands.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop the direction of the Strategy department and advance our strategic capabilities. Identify trends, target insights, client needs and craft narratives in order to push the agency forward

  • Champion the role of strategy and be the voice of strategy within the agency and with clients.

  • Play a key role in client development with Business Leadership and Creative leads to shape our strategic vision for clients

  • Seek opportunities to expand client relationships, support the team to add value in new and more meaningful ways

  • Collaborate with Business Leadership to develop strategic plans for clients, help the agency earn trusted advisor with clients

  • Draw insights from program results to create dialogue with senior clients and internal team leading to informed strategic opportunities

  • Hire, lead, and mentor the strategy team. Inspire them to think strategically to creatively solve our client?s business challenges. Foster an environment of shared ideas, mentorship, and growth

  • Develop clear and concise insights to inform and inspire creative ideation process from kick off to creative brief and be the strategic voice for creative reviews

  • Champion and show how the work is effective and delivers measurable results

  • Build a talent pipeline for the department and agency

  • Write and contribute to agency awards for effectiveness of our work

  • Actively seek and support new business efforts

What we are looking for

  • Expertise in leading a strategic team or department at an agency, preferred proven expertise in Experiential

  • Ability to inspire and forge trusted relationships with clients and the internal team

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment

  • Excellent knowledge of social/digital channels and their application to Experiential

  • Experience with research, data and analytics tools

  • Ability to craft strategic narratives and storylines in decks and other client deliverables

  • Ability to make high-level strategies applicable and clear for clients and internal teams

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Leading our strategy department requires you to have broad knowledge across our multiple disciplines including: experiential, sponsorship, music and entertainment, social and influencer.

  • You bring experience in crafting marketing strategy, account planning, content strategy, social, data science, and research.

  • You have a deep understanding and experience in the skills necessary to inspire and lead our clients and teams ? trend analysis, idea development, channel knowledge, client leadership, and storytelling.

  • You love developing new business relationships as much as sharing new ideas and insights with your existing clients.

What we require:

  • 8+ years in an agency or marketing environment, advertising, social, digital with experiential agency experience highly preferred

  • Proven leadership, mentorship and management skills

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to effectively present ideas and work

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once

  • Ability to travel as needed for the role

  • College degree required, Masters Degree preferred
