Kelly Services Store Manager - Grocery Distribution in New York, New York
Kelly has an amazing opportunity for a Store Manager – Grocery Delivery for an exciting alternative to traditional Grocery Stores in New York City! Online grocery shopping is a part of our lives now, and will only keep growing. Our partner has a need for a Store Manager with grocery store managemen t experience to build strong relationships with the staff and oversee the Distribution Operation. These not open to the public stores serve as the distribution centers around Greater NYC for their couriers. There is excellent career growth opportunities as our partner has an aggressive launch plan in place that started at the end of August!
This is a Direct Hire role with a starting salary of $65,000 and variable work day schedule - you will be working during the day (sometime between 7AM - 6PM) but you may need to work on Saturday based on the needs of the business and would have Sunday-Monday off instead. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage and work closely with the team by building strong relationships with delivery couriers, pick packers, and inventory specialists
Plan and prepare schedules, train staff, and oversee timely deliveries
Inventory tracking including monitoring expiration dates and maintaining inventory shelves
Operations: complete timesheets and check waybills and invoices on all deliveries of inventory to the store
Coordinate with various suppliers: oversee all drop shipments as well as distribution center deliveries
Manage the order process by assisting with incoming orders and timely pass-off to couriers for delivery
Skills and Responsibilities:
Previous Managerial position or experience leading teams in grocery or beverage required
Analytical mindset and ability to resolve untypical situations
Maintain quality and safety standards in store
Easygoing with ability to motivate co-workers
Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
