Citigroup Retail Risk Technology Lead–New York– C15/Director (R2026293) in New York, New York

The Retail Risk Technology Head is responsible for the development and implementation of technology solutions in support of the Retail Risk organization.  The role requires the setting and execution of strategy for global technology solutions.  Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who is able to effectively multi-task and positively impact strategic initiatives across diverse teams.  The role involves leading and developing a team of over 160 team members including  business analysts, developers, technical leads and project managers across multiple onshore and offshore locations with a budget of $20 million.  An in-depth understanding of the regulatory environment for the retail business is critical in achieving the objectives of the function.  A good understanding of the industry and technology, direct competitors' products and services, are also necessary in order to contribute to the strategic objectives and direction. Responsibilities: Manage and deliver the Retail Risk Technology Book of Work, ensuring alignment with Retail Risk strategy and goals. Manage a 160+ workforce globally ensuring strong team performance and employee pipeline Ensure adherence to EIO&T and GFTS standards on program delivery, compliance, process management, risk and controls Manage all ongoing OCC committed Corrective Action Plans and other priority regulatory commitments Manage and resolve broad based and complex issues. Applies a broad and comprehensive understanding in multiple functional areas as well as underlying business principles. Spearhead and drive strategic direction for critical initiatives such as Regulatory Reporting Remediation and Reduction of EUCs Demonstrates an in depth understanding of how own sub function integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry. Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources. Impacts the technology sub function by strategic influence and by exercising control over resources, budget management and planning; accountable for end results. Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
