Informa Pharma Intelligence has an exciting opportunity for a reporter/ journalist to join our Medtech Insight team. This team keeps the audience updated with the latest emerging technologies, market developments and policy changes in the Medtech industry. The Medtech and pharma industries are closely aligned and together they drive innovation and improvements in healthcare around the world.
In this role you will report and communicate news and analysis through excellent writing and e-media skills on issues driving the medical devices and diagnostics sectors including policy and regulation, innovative R&D, product approvals, M&A to our audience of business professionals and market experts.Job Description
Report and write news and analysis articles about R&D, commercial or regulatory and policy issues within themedical devices and diagnostics industry.
Every day, in every part of your role, ensure your activities have a positive impact for our clients.
Report and write news and analysis pieces with guidance from an editor on a daily cycle.
Take daily assignments, and actively pitch stories on a regular basis. Be familiar with different Informa Pharma datasets and use these to create proprietary stories and articles.
Cultivate expertise and contacts in topic areas of focus
Contribute as needed in the proofreading and production process, for daily online publishing and any print issue.
Deliver personal key performance indicators.Qualifications
Journalism skills and knowledge including: ability to write clearly, news writing skills and judgment.
High level of curiosity, that is, a desire for knowledge, prepared to ask and learn, with an authentic interest in others and what they might have to share.
Ability to participate in cross-functional teams and maintain communication with colleagues and manager on work in progress, as well as daily use of workflow tracking tools.
Knowledge of medical devices and diagnostics and awareness of major issues affecting markets in general.
Ability to use language and translation skills when needed.
Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on the ability to gain the cooperation of sources.
Have the flexibility to cope with any unexpected scheduling.
Consistently express an informed, knowledgeable interest in learning or contributing more to the editorial process for the benefit of the publications.
Ability to understand and interpret datasets.
Computer literacy appropriate with working in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the capability to learn customized editorial systems. Use of social media (Twitter, Linked In, others).
Appropriate Bachelor's degree such as journalism, sciences, languages, or economics. Demonstrable writing experience or equivalent career experience.Additional Information
